Even though I live in Los Angeles, I have only had a few interactions with T-Girls. They were escorts. All pretty and very feminine. I didn't view them as anything else but ladies. This is where I differ from some transsexuals. I believe every is entitled to chose whatever label they desire. I've always considered myself a transgendered-female. Because I think its important to acknowledge the transsexual portion of who I am. I feel If I just say that I am female, its a degree of denial.

Just to reiterate...that's how I feel. If another transsexual wants to see herself a solely female...I believe that's her right.

I don't think these questions are dumb at all. Lots of Transwomen wonder about these issues (about how we are perceived by society) all the time. Though for the most part I agree....your answer is just too idealistic. Unless a transsexual transitioned at an incredibly early age...the effect of male hormones and any life experience as a male added in, automatically make a TS somewhat different than a GG. It will always be part of her psyche.

I never said that transwomen and genetic women are the same. I said that transwomen are female. So are GG. Both are female.

What prompted my statement was that female was being used as a synonym for GG. That is not correct because it does not account for transsexual females.
