made a video fix because it did not play on one site

Use a video file converter software (I use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate on a Mac) or grab it off the screen with Snapz Pro X or it's PC equivalent.

video it redirects and saves

No idea. If the site won't let you download the movie, you can still 'record' it as it plays with Snapz Pro (or equivalent software).

If you aren't using Mozilla firefox, then get it. Google download helper after you have it. Download helper is a program that will record any media playing in your mozilla browser.
