MAN ARRESTED, PEPPER SPRAYED AT DISNEY PARK

A man was arrested for assault after repeatedly attacking security guards, who pepper sprayed him, at Disney California Adventure.

The incident was captured in a profanity-laced YouTube video, which had more than 10,000 views as of Monday morning.

Glenn Horlacher, 53, of Queen Creek, Arizona, was arrested Saturday for assault and battery and taken to the Anaheim Jail, where he was cited and released Saturday, said Sgt. Bob Dunn, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department.

The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when a man attacked security guards near the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride. Guards repeatedly tried to restrain the man and pepper spayed him, but the man kept going after the guards, as seen on the YouTube video.

A few park visitors helped hold down Horlacher, until police arrived. Police detained Horlacher without further problems, Dunn said.

A security guard was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and was released, said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman.

“We appreciate the actions of the guests who came to his aid during this uncharacteristic incident,” Brown said in a prepared statement.

REDLANDS San Bernardio County, California -- A fight between several young women erupted early Sunday in a Redlands, Calif. Denny's, and it turned into a silverware-tossing, plate-smashing brawl as miniskirted participants traded kicks and punches on the dining room floor, the manager on duty said.

No serious injuries were reported, but several people were cited, and Redlands police have requested a copy of surveillance video, Denny's manager Heather Bruhl told Redlands-Loma Linda Patch.

Someone in the restaurant recorded part of the chaos on video, posted it on YouTube, and sent R-LL Patch the link. Bruhl said the video showed what happened at the downtown Redlands Denny's.

"We were having our normal 2 o'clock bar rush," Bruhl said in a phone interview. "Some people came in and got mouthy with another table. So we asked them to leave.

"The party, it was about four girls and four guys, they were leaving," Bruhl said. "Another party with some other girls at a table, they laughed. And the people leaving said 'Don't laugh at us, you don't know us.'

"The laughing party, one of them said, 'Excuse me, we're not even talking to you,'" Bruhl said. "One of the girls in the laughing party stood up and threw something, then she broke a plate, and it was on. It was a melee, complete chaos."

Bruhl said there was a handicapped man sitting at the counter, and she tried to protect him because the women were fighting so close to him.

"It was crazy," Bruhl said. "Some of the girls fighting were in short skirts and high heels. . . . It looked like a bomb went off in here, broken glass, broken plates. Tables overturned. It took about 30 minutes to clean up."

Some customers left and some stayed, Bruhl said. The police arrived quickly, four or five officers, and they issued citations to some of the people involved, Bruhl said.

There did not appear to be any serious injuries, but there was some blood on the floor where apparently someone stepped on broken glass or broken plates, Bruhl said.

General manager Jose Davila said the Denny's, at Redlands Boulevard and Orange Street, is popular among bar patrons after nearby establishments close.

"The fight, it happened early this morning," Davila said. "Sometimes we get really busy after the bars close. A lady called to complain about it, asking why did we allow it.

"But we don't allow this," Davila said. "All we can do is call the police. They came really fast. They checked the security cameras and they want a copy."

CHINATOWN PHO RESTAURANT FIGHT: PLATES FLY AS BRAWL BREAKS OUT

Plates sailed through the air and women threw punches after an intense brawl broke out at Toronto Chinatown eatery Pho Xe Lua early Saturday morning.

A group of at least six people dressed in Halloween get-ups began exchanging blows as the restaurant erupted in shouts and onlookers cheered from the sidelines. One man in SWAT attire threw a plate that hit a woman squarely in the face.

One man who was at the restaurant with a group of friends captured the 3am fight in a two-minute video.

“I came in and we saw people arguing. Apparently they were arguing about space and seating because the restaurant was pretty packed and small. They were shouting at each other to move out of the way,” he said. “A guy in a green shirt threw a menu across the table and that’s how it started.”

In the video, a waitress in a red shirt tried to break up the fight, using her body as a barrier between the two groups. She moved aside when two women started throwing punches at each other.

A restaurant employee said the waitress was unharmed. “Only plates were broken. You know … Teenagers,” he said with a laugh.

Police reported that a woman in her 20s sustained cuts to her face and required medical attention.

They are looking for a light-skinned Asian male suspect described as having a muscular build, 20 to 25 years of age, 5’8 to 5’9, clean-shaven, with short black hair that is shaved on all sides. He has a multi-coloured tattoo on his left bicep. He was wearing a Halloween costume vest with the word “SWAT” written on the back.

The profanity-laced video was posted on YouTube on Saturday and went viral garnering almost 60,000 views by Sunday night.

A husband’s decision not to take his peevish spouse to the lake provoked outrage. He uploaded the secretly recorded footage to YouTube to demonstrate his wife's unbelievable behavior.

A wife's temper tantrum has gone viral after her husband uploaded secretly filmed footage.

The woman, seated in the front of a car, kicks and screams after her partner says he can't take her to the lake because he needs to finish chores.

"You have to stop and get me some cigarettes! I'm about to go crazy!" she screams at her put-upon man.

"I never get my way! I just want one day when I get my way — ONE DAY!" she adds as she lashes out at the dashboard with her feet.

The couple is identified as Jim and Whitney Monglat of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Jim wrote in the video's caption that his wife freaked out after he told her they couldn't spend Saturday on the lake, as his truck needed to be fixed.

He filmed her antics to show the world what she was really like.

"I had worked 60 hours that week and told her all week that Saturday was my day to get stuff done around the house. But as usual she threw a fit about it," he said.

"That was the last day I lived in our house. I have moved out and filed a restraining order against her," Gawker reports he wrote.

The couple had only tied the knot in May 2012.

MAN ARRESTED IN BRAWL AT CHARGERS-COWBOYS GAME

SAN DIEGO — A 41-year-old man was arrested at Qualcomm Stadium Sunday and police are seeking another after two football fans were smashed in the head with beer bottles.

The videotaped brawl occurred between fans of the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys who were tailgating near each other in the parking lot after the game, said San Diego police acting Lt. Steve Behrendt. The Chargers won the game 30-21.

The fight began as a verbal altercation between the two groups and included men and women, Behrendt said.

Peter Rhoades, 54, a Chargers fan who was leaving the game with a friend, recorded the incident on his cellphone video.

The video shows a woman in a Cowboys T-shirt walk up to a Dallas fan and slap him in the face. A man in a white sleeveless T-shirt then pulls that victim away and breaks a bottle over his head. A man in a Chargers jersey tries to push the sleeveless T-shirt man out of the way, and a second man then violently smashes another bottle onto the Chargers fan’s head.

Rhoades said during an interview Tuesday night on the Scott & B.R. radio show on The Mighty 1090 AM that it appeared the men that were struck were innocent victims. He said he did not know anyone in the group.

“I was disgusted by the fact that these two guys blindsided two people,” Rhoades told Scott Kaplan and Billy Ray Smith. Kaplan is host of U-T TV’s morning show, The Front Page.

Behrendt said the first victim of the bottle assault did not require medical care. The man in the Chargers jersey had to go to the hospital, where he had his head wounds stapled together, Behrendt said.

Rhoades said his friend was injured by flying glass.

Ramon Heredia of Orange County, who police believe was the first bottle-wielding man, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Behrendt said. Detectives are still seeking the second attacker and are interviewing witnesses.

Rhoades said he hopes police find the other assailant. “He should be scared because his face is showing up perfectly on video,” he said.

Both Behrendt and Rhoades said they did not know what precipitated the altercation.

Rhoades, who was celebrating his birthday on Sunday, said his father first bought Chargers tickets in 1961, and the violence is distressing.

“It was not something we want to see as fans,” he said, adding that he was glad it did not turn into a larger altercation.

“The fact that a big riot didn’t start after that, that did surprise me,” he told Kaplan and Smith.

Rhoades said numerous people later started videotaping the incident.

He said a shorter YouTube version of his video had more than 400,000 views as of Tuesday night.

Rhoades said one commenter said of the violence, “That’s why I don’t take my family to the games any more.”

"The fight, it happened early this morning," Davila said. "Sometimes we get really busy after the bars close. A lady called to complain about it, asking why did we allow it.

"But we don't allow this," Davila said. "All we can do is call the police. They came really fast. They checked the security cameras and they want a copy."

Fight at Toronto Chinatown restaurant Pho Xe Lua goes viral

Toronto Police are looking for a plate-slinging patron from a brawl that erupted in a Chinatown restaurant early Saturday.

The fight broke out around 3:30 a.m. between two groups of people at Pho Xe Lua Restaurant, a Vietnamese noodle house on Spadina Ave., south of Dundas St. W.

The brawl was captured by several dozen cellphone cameras and the video uploaded to YouTube has gone viral. In the video, a man wearing a green shirt is seen throwing a menu. The fight then escalates to where another man is shown throwing what appears to be a plate, which hits a woman in the head.

“The victim was there and a physical altercation occurred between two other women in the restaurant,” Const. Wendy Drummond said Monday. “It’s not as common (for fights to break out) in restaurants than we see in the Entertainment District.”

In the video, two women begin punching each other while an employee in a red shirt attempts to break up the fight. In the 30-second mark of the 11-and-a-half-minute clip, a man wearing a black ‘SWAT’ costume vest joins the brawl, allegedly throwing a metal napkin holder. He and his group eventually leave.

Several dozen customers, some in Halloween costumes, watch as the fight happens.

The profanity-laden video had more than 289,000 page views by Monday evening.

“It’s a help,” Drummond said, referring to the YouTube posts. “It is put on public platform displays, which could potentially jeopardize some statements and witness accounts because they’ve already seen what happened. It’s good, however, in some situations it hinders investigations.”

The woman in her 20s who was hit with the object suffered bruises and cuts, but not broken bones, Drummond said.

Police are looking for a man, 20-25 years old, about 5-foot-8, with a muscular build and multicoloured tattoos on his left biceps.

He is clean-shaven with short black hair that has been shaved on both sides. He was wearing a ‘SWAT’ costume vest with holster during the incident.

Alex Tu, the manager of Pho Xe Lua, said he was working the night of the incident and was surprised a fight broke out.

“We tried to stop them, but they wouldn’t, so I called 911 right away,” Tu recalled. “Then the guys left. Around Friday or Saturday night, a lot of people come in. (The worker in the video) is OK, she tried to stop them.”

YouTube viewers weighed in on the footage.

“It started out as an (argument) about space,” SaldatCrinale wrote on the site. “One of guys bumped in to another guy. Than a remark was said and then you see the menu flying. Than two girls argue and fight and it escalates from there. This all happened around 3 a.m. in the morning so they are all probably drunk and belligerent.”

Other commenters slammed witnesses who opted to film the fight rather than help stop it.

“Those who are egging the fight on (assuming the person who filmed this) is disgusting and should be ashamed of himself,” one person wrote. “No humour in violence, hitting women and vandalizing/destroying property.”

Toronto Police have arrested a man believed to be the plate-slinging patron during a brawl at a Chinatown restaurant last Saturday.

A fight broke out at Pho Xe Lua Restaurant in the Dundas-Spadina area around 3:30 a.m. between two groups of people over what some patrons believe was a dispute over seating. Several cellphone videos were taken during the melee, which captured a dinner plate being smashed into the head of a woman.

“We received tips and we followed up the tips and identified a man alleged to be responsible for the assault,” said Const. Tony Vella on Friday. “We had an image of the person [using the videos], so that definitely helped.”

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA -- A fight between several young women erupted early Sunday in a Redlands, Calif. Denny's, and it turned into a silverware-tossing, plate-smashing brawl as miniskirted participants traded kicks and punches on the dining room floor, the manager on duty said.

No serious injuries were reported, but several people were cited, and Redlands police have requested a copy of surveillance video, Denny's manager Heather Bruhl told Redlands-Loma Linda Patch.

Someone in the restaurant recorded part of the chaos on video, posted it on YouTube, and sent R-LL Patch the link. Bruhl said the video showed what happened at the downtown Redlands Denny's.

"We were having our normal 2 o'clock bar rush," Bruhl said in a phone interview. "Some people came in and got mouthy with another table. So we asked them to leave.

"The party, it was about four girls and four guys, they were leaving," Bruhl said. "Another party with some other girls at a table, they laughed. And the people leaving said 'Don't laugh at us, you don't know us.'

"The laughing party, one of them said, 'Excuse me, we're not even talking to you,'" Bruhl said. "One of the girls in the laughing party stood up and threw something, then she broke a plate, and it was on. It was a melee, complete chaos."

HEMET (CBSLA.com) A disturbing clip has surfaced that shows a group of parents who are accused of exchanging punches outside of a California high school.

The incident unfolded Wednesday outside of Tahquitz High School, which is located on Tital Trail in Hemet in Riverside County in Southern California's Inland Empire.

The clip allegedly shows a group of parents throwing punches, pulling hair, and kicking each other in front of the school. It has since gone viral.

“It’s horrible to hear something like that that’s happening at your student’s school,” said one parent. “That’s not a good example at all.”

The video was shot on Wednesday, May 31 (2017) and has now gone viral with thousands of views, and opinions are flying faster than the fists captured on tape.

“Think about it before you do it in front of your kids. It’s one thing behind closed doors. It’s another thing when there are no kids around but when you are there with kids, it’s just not an example you want to set,” Amber Pifundi, a mother, said.

CBS2 has since learned that a few parents seen in the clip live in the same apartment complex and that the issues arose there, and carried over to the campus.

“They say this, they say that. This one gets on Twitter, and calls the other girl a … it’s a bunch of girls fighting over (expletive) boys,” said a neighbor.

According to a district spokesperson, school leaders were saddened the brawl overshadowed the last day of school.

Parents say this type of behavior gives Hemet a bad name, and that those involved should be ashamed.

“I moved here without knowing about the city and we’ve only been here a year and we’re already leaving,” said a resident.

An officer with the Hemet Police Department says police were not aware of the fight until Friday night, June 2 (2017). No arrests have been made.
