183 north is not "just north". That is pretty fucking far north. 183 starts far east, in the blackest neighborhood in Austin and stays there going north for quite awhile. It crosses over to the west side at Rundberg and 35, the second worst area in Austin. It's not until it gets past Mopac, the furthest freeway west of Austin, that it begins to be a decent neighborhood.

Quit arguing with me about shit I am obviously more knowledgeable about. I went to college here, and live her now. I know this city. It has changed quite a bit, OBVIOUSLY, since the last time you were here.

All the yuppies now live south. The real estate in SoCo(South Congress area) has gone through the roof. Now they are raising the property taxes in the east, and have started pushing all the black people and hispanics to just north and Pflugerville.

Northwest Austin(the area you are talking about) starts getting decent around the Arboretum area, and continues all the way up to Round Rockwest.
