He's just a guy who enjoys the shit hole his career has been in, the mockery he's made of his public image and finding himself slumped out behind the wheel of his vehicle while he just so happened to be under the influence of marijuana. Since we all know that Marijuana isn't addictive, I find it misleading that the media is framing this as a drug problem when we all know that George Michael is choosing to go to jail, voluntarily! Marijuana isn't the problem at all! It's other things!

This is his 6th run in with the law, every run-in happens to involve Pot. But since we all know that pot isn't addictive, then we can chalk it all up to sincere coincidence.

But it's a good thing that George only smokes 7-8 spliffs a day and not his former 25 a day that he used to light up. Moderation is key!

Pot is totally not a problem and because it's not addictive, I don't know what he's talking about when he himself wishes he could stop smoking so much! It's all will power, sir! WILL POWER! Pot surely isn't addictive.

In all fairness, here's to praying for a speedy recovery for George Michael. May he get off the drugs and go back to making kick ass music, 'Faith' style.

Anything can be addictive, doesnt matter what it is, you can become dependent on ANYTHING. If your mind starts getting the notion that you cannot go without it, then it doesnt matter how much willpower you have, sometimes you just need someone else to step in and get between you and your addiction. The longer you do it, the harder it is to get away, and from the sound of it, the guy has been doing it A LOT, so some jail time could really help him by keeping him away from it and hopefully putting a break in the link of the addiction.

Now by all means I am not saying that having an addiction is an excuse, if you find yourself addicted to something you no longer wish to be on, but for some reason just cant bring yourself to get off of it yourself, ASK FOR HELP.

He's an idiot pure & simple 8 weeks in jail? If I had done what he's done I would have been put away for a far longer term than 8 weeks

Whoa, whoa, whoa there buddy. Slow down. If everyone did that, we'd lose over 80% of our members.

Also, how is this even a topic of discussion. That dude hasn't been relevant in years. In fact, when I first saw the post I thought you were talking about Micheal Cera.

I think it's funny when people use weed as en excuse for someone being a fucked up person. Ok, he was high on pot but does that mean that is the only thing he did? Did he drink, take pills or do anything else? I saw a commercial not too long ago about how somebody died in a car crash and they had weed in their system and people were blaming the weed for his death. But then they also said they had done cocaine and drank alcohol too but the purpose of the commercial was to point out they did weed so people would be against legalizing it. Sorry but if you are drinking and doing coke I'm sure those are bigger reasons for the car crash. It's like saying a guy who got AIDS from shooting heroin and smoked a blunt right before he actually died because he had weed in his system, lol.

Your post reminded me of the quote from 'Leaving Las Vegas':

"I don't remember if my wife left me because I started drinking or if I started drinking because my wife left me". lol it's so obvious. In fact, the only one it's not obvious to is the addict. He's always the last one to realize what everyone around him already saw.
