He'll get an additional minimum 3 years for a gun enhancement, so he's looking at a minimum total of 5 years.

I doubt it. They probably won't press it as this ruling is already making cops there very antsy. That would immediately turn into three years on top of anything if a cop makes a bad call and potentially have a chilling effect on police officers engaging anyone. There was too much video from many perspectives for the defense to pull off a Rodney King acquittal. In their eyes, this guy was sacraficed for his stupidity to appease the masses but probably will get the absolute minimum possible to placate the boys in blue and not establish a minimum 5 year precendent for a bad call.

For the most part people behaved really well considering.....
There are always the anarchist types who love to start shit.....by the way THEY are overwhelmingly white.
But yeah.....breaking windows and stealing stuff is VERY LOW CLASS.
There are some absolutely crazy nutty black nationalist types in Oakland and we have not heard from them yet so we will see.

Of course plenty of black people are STILL getting killed by other black people and no one has seen anything and no one is "snitching".
Its funny....all of a sudden people who say they have no interest in "snitchin" have a vested interest in the criminal justice system....I just dont get it.

The mayor of Oakland Ron Dellums is a good man and a Vietnam veteran but he is kind of useless because he wont do what needs to be done and has kind of been an absentee mayor.
Oakland is going through a MAJOR deficit problem and is about to lay of 80 cops!

I don't consider most of the people on Haight St etc to be hippies or anarchists. They're jobless, homeless, drug users, etc.

In Manhattan, they hang out on St Marks and in Tompkins Sq, but they're more of the punk rock variety. They wear Dr Martins. In California, they have dreadlocks and wear Birkenstocks. lol
