Many reasons. For example, setting someone up to be mugged because the individual who posted the ad knows that the guy will be carrying money. Or, just for laughs (e.g., sending the individual to a vacant lot).

The first reason I can understand, but it doesn't make it right. For all the person might know who post the ad, the guy could be carrying a gun or something like that. The second reason, are people really that bored to where they got to fuck with someone else who is just looking for some sex?
