This has absolutely nothing to do with hung angels. But occasionally, this board discusses cultural trends, tv shows, or similar topics. Considering everyone here is almost by definition a bit, ahem, quirky, thought some of you might find this interesting.

Well, I've come across what I believe is the sickest, most demented, non pornographic television show is the history of TV. It's called "Food Party," and is seen on IFC (Independent Film Channel).

The host is a pixie like, little Asian American woman (Vietnamese American), named Thu Tran (and no, she's not a "trannie.")

It's hard to describe what it is. It is a spoof of Food Network type cooking shows. But it's also a series of surreal, bizarre fantasies.

Do you remember Pee Wee's Playhouse at its peak? Food Party looks A LOT like Pee Wee's Playhouse. Imagine if Pee Wee was a short, pretty, but somewhat retarded looking Asian woman who was hosting a cooking show in the playhouse, making the most disgusting dishes imaginable, while bantering with dolls, puppets and people in animal costumes and you get some idea of what Food Party is about. (One "recipe" was a milkshake made from turds; another involved eating the vomit of the Virgin Mary; another involved pizza French Toast cooked in the puss from Thu's acne. It's just amazing that this is on a non-adult tv channel.)

Don't bother googling her or Food Party, because the episodes don't seem to be online (she made more conventional food party episodes before coming to IFC which I think are online).

Anyway, some of it is really, really funny.

Anyone else a fan of Food Party?

That's her. For some reason, I think I want to marry her.

That picture, with her vibrant expression, is a bit unusual for her because on the show, she seems deliberately to hold a fairly blank expression, which gives off a vibe of her being slightly retarded -- of course combined with the very retarded things she says.

Apologies for the politically incorrect use of the term retarded, but if you've seen the show, it's really the only appropriate word.
