With that Donovan goal being one of those special moments in football, has America finally understood ?

Shame you both had to meet, coz I'd like to see both counties stay in for longer. I rate the U.S. team but Ghana need it more, so I'll be cheering them on.

Hope Donovan comes back to Everton, pleasure to watch him.

Sincerely though - well done to the USA. Played well throughout the contest and made it to the final 16. Where are France and Italy!
It's great to see the USA improve so much over the years especially with a team of almost all home-grown players.

I think whoever compiled the video from the first post and decided on giving it the title of "The world's reaction to......" was being more than a bit generous!

"America reacts to......" seems far more honest.

Thanks seanchai for putting it into perspective. USA perhaps did not reach their full potential, but they have nothing to be ashamed of in this tournament.
