Ever been so mad that you had to write and record a song and shoot a
video about it and post it on Youtube all in the space of two days?
Yeah, me neither - except for this one time that I did, right now. The
lyrics might not make any sense to those of you who aren't in the
know... in any case, it feels damn good to have done it.

Thanks you guys... though, I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have shared this. It's the result of a personal and painful situation and there aren't enough people who know the back story to make any sense of this song so now I feel silly having posted it so openly. Thanks again, I appreciate it - J.

Jamie, all art is cathartic. I mean, where would Stephen King be without his writing???
Stephen King has described writing as being very therapeutic.

Pretty scary huh?

That's actually a modified version of my Tom Waits impression - it's what the song called for so it's what the song got. I pride myself on the many different voices I can call up for whatever type of song I'm working on at the time...

Compare it to the voices I use on my solo work and you wouldn't even know it's the same person. I'm just a huge fan of sounds in general so manipulating my voice for all it's worth is something that's very appealing to me.

To Ben: Drunk. Stephen King would still be drunk. ;)

*note to self* Have unlisted funeral so Jamie won't be doing an encore on your grave. j/k :)

Anyways, hope you're feeling better Jamie. You seem so even keeled so they must have really done something heinous to you. Take care of yourself.

Can you sing some of Elvis Presley's love songs? And the Elvis's fast paced ones?

Please let me hear them!!!! :)

I could - but I'm pretty sure everyone on Earth can do an Elvis voice. I'm a Beatles person anyway... never did like The King.

That's the thing man. I do operate on an even keel. Almost to a fault - I'm very much into self discipline, delayed gratification, contemplation rather than reaction. Those qualities have been slipping in 2010 because of my relationship issues. When they say love conquers all they never specify as to whether or not that's a good thing. How god damned emo is that?

I'll be fine. I got to get out of my own head and start putting more back into the world.

(BTW: The song refers to the offending parties cancer diagnosis that spread to the legs. He was a good friend of mine and it all got flipped around.)

After my recent post featuring a very abrasive revenge song for my band Gravity Euphonic, I thought I'd even out the mood with a new track that is totally unrelated from my new batch of solo songs... it's about the goth club I've been hanging out at for the past 10 years called The Church. The title is 2424 Swiss Ave. It's 95% done but solid enough to preview. Take a listen. 2424 Swiss Ave. (http://www.jamesfrenchmusic.com/2424.mp3)

I didn't ask for an Elvis impersonator.

And, frankly, Elvis impersonators, in my opinion, are creepy.
