I'm going to say that yes Hip Hop is ready for gay and trans performers,
and that to a lesser extent Rap is also.

Indeed we already have gay and trans artists in both genres.

I'd also like to point out that there is a distinction between Rap and Hip
Hop. It may not be evident to everyone, but there definitely are
differences, and I would say that Hip Hop is less trans and homophobic
than Rap.
