RIP Amanda

Amanda (Skylene's sister) was a friend of mine. We met YEARS ago at the infamous now extinct Edelweiss. I will never forget her flirtatious behavior in her tight jeans and curly hair.

This scene causes many of us to fall out of contact with one another over time, and it wasn't until recently during my late night bar hopping that I ran into her with a g/f. We exchanged hellos and I went on my way and now I feel a bit of remorse for not spending a few more minutes with her knowing she's gone.

Whenever I hear of someone getting fucked up or killed on HA I don't think about it much. Nine times out of ten they are people I've never come into contact with so feelings aren't really there, but this is someone I knew...... someone who was cool with me and who I shared laughs with. She will be missed.

Skylene if this gets back to you, I am TRULY sorry for your loss, and I hope you get through this. No one should ever have to go through what you're going through and you lost a loved one way too soon.

IMO this was premeditated.............
I was speaking to Flabby earlier and stated how the cameras failed to get a proper facial recognition of the person claimed to be visiting her.
The fact that the news actually brought it to light is respectable.

Amanda was one of the first transsexuals I ever met. She'd appeared on Shemale Yum in 1999 and that was the year I went to New York to shoot the first ever Grooby videos with Tony Vee, "Shemale Yum's New York Transsexuals". Amanda was on my shortlist along with Lisa Kage, BamBam and Kitty.

We picked up Amanda at her place and suggested we do some out door scenes. She was immediately into it. For a young, English guy who wasn't exactly a stranger to traveling and to NYC, Amanda was still, very exotic, very different to the girls I was used to - and very funny and cool. I enjoyed my time with her a lot and the scene stuck out as one of the most memorable I ever shot.

Frank worked with her in a fantastic shoot in 2005 and of course, she also appeared in a wild scene in Joey Silvera's Rogue Adventure #11.

Honestly, I know very little about Amanda apart from two brief encounters. The fact that this sort of crime is committed is bad enough but it does touch home a little more, when it is somebody you've met and worked with.
I hope by running this blog and putting this sad news out, people will become more aware of the tragedies that happen to so many, of the girls that we see on our screens each day.

Amanda was 29 when she was murdered, in the last week of March 2010.

Not suprising about the coverage.

But the Olympics are only on every 4 years. Sadly, woman getting beaten in their Queens aprt happens way to often.
