Wake up, see this: basement flooded (oh joy!). Get that all cleaned up through the course of my day. Next thing I know I'm woken up from a slight buzz from my computer. Someone sends me a link to this: new porn set(?!). Bit surprised.. (*shrugs*) Overall, not a bad day.

It's all taken care of for the most part. Wasn't a huge deal... just took a bit of time and effort and wasn't exactly the way I like to be woken up in the morning ('Get your ass out of bed; the basement flooded.').

The thaw??
No we just had a lot of rain the past few days and a storm drain (is that what it's called?) gets clogged sometimes so it all leaked in. Basically there's a back door into the basement in my house with steps going down to it and nothing covering it (like a roof to encompass the stairwell). So when it rains a lot if the drain gets clogged it backs up, filling the stairwell, and continuing to leak in through the door.. Shit sucks.

Sucks about your flood. That's not too bad, though. I enjoy an indoor pool from time to time that has gotten up to a foot deep and ate my furnace twice. There are now four pumps to keep it in check. The dubious joys of a 160 year old house next to a canal. :P
