I mean can you really look at this Copenhagen conference and not die laughing? Pastor Al Gore making statements that have to be fully retracted because the principle of his statements denies the findings he states? Hugo Chavez???? WTF...!!! Hahahahahaha... you got Hugo fucking Chavez dictating to us about climate change... hahahahahahaha... was Harpo Marx busy or fucking what???? Maybe you would like Amy Whinehouse to speak about self control? Or maybe Nancy Pelosi about budget restraint? Hahahahahahahahaha...
The riots in the streets by all the Global robots, wanting to take control of the conference. I haven't had this much fun since Carter tried to rescue the hostages in Iran. And then we have Bubba the spender of all who have no money, Mr. Hopey and Changie himself, to help close the conference. Saturday Night Live hasn't had this kind of comedy in years. You douche bags are really scoring some Global points here... maybe if we have a private plane beauty contest you will feel better... 1,200 private limos, and 140 private jet airlines, Oh brother... WTF has this world come to.
I'm sorry but this is the best comedy bit to come around in a long time, and at good time when the world could use a laugh... Copenhagen... hahahahahahahahaha..

'A Timesonline story titled "Inconvenient truth for Al Gore as his north pole sums don't add up", may have been the focal point. Apparently Mr. Gore said, as reported by the Timesonline:
"These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years."
However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.
"It's unclear to me how this figure was arrived at," Dr Maslowski said. "I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this."
This led the Timesonline to conclude, that:
The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming.'
BUT
'Dr. Wieslaw Maslowski is a Research Professor in the Department of Oceanography at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California. All this is from his bio on the NPS website. His research includes: arctic oceanography, numerical ocean and sea ice modeling, and climate change -- again from the NPS website. He sounds like a qualified expert to me. Apparently the media has thought so too. Here is what Dr. Masalowski told the New York Times, October 2, 2007 (just 2 years ago):
Experts say the ice retreat is likely to be even bigger next summer because this winter's freeze is starting from such a huge ice deficit. At least one researcher, Wieslaw Maslowski of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., projects a blue Arctic Ocean in summers by 2013.
Want him in his own words? Here, at Beyond Zero Emissions, is Dr. Maslowski interviewed by Matthew Wright, with a post date of March 24, 2008 (less than 2 years ago.) Read the transcript of the interview, and by all means download the podcast.
"We speak to Wieslaw Maslowski about his prediction that by the summer of 2013, we will have completely lost ice cover in the Arctic. Dr. Maslowski says that the complete loss of summer ice may actually happen sooner."
Wright: "Ok. So now, it was reported in The New York Times that you said that 2013 was a possibility, and perhaps you'd actually projected this some years ago, that we could lose the summer sea ice extent - that's in the summer solstice is it?"
Maslowski: "That is correct."
Maslowski (later in the interview): "There are some model simulations, single model simulations, that are suggesting that it could possibly occur as early as 2050 or maybe even as early as 2030. Comparing those models simulations predictions with the satellite observations of the Arctic sea ice extent actually shows that most of those models are too conservative predicting the current and the past ice extent changes in the Arctic as has been observed. So the idea is that the climate models - they're underestimating, they are too conservative in their prediction."
Maslowski is on the record stating he thought it possible that we'd lose all summer ice cover in the Arctic by 2013. Let's do some math. That is 3.5 years from now. Gore said 75% chance in 5 to 7 years based apparently on personal conversations with Maslowski. You know what? Gore's statement was a conservative estimate relative to what I found Maslowski has said on the record.'
'Finally, aside from the spitting back and forth on who said what (which could have been avoided if journalists did their jobs) does anybody care that complete loss of sea ice coverage in the Arctic, even if by 2050, would represent a dramatic climatic change in a geological instant in time?
For an understanding of rapid climatic change in the context of geologic time, and the correlation to human activity, see A Day in the Life of the Earth, at Blog on the Universe.'

Cuchulain, I don't think you're being objective when you address Dr. Maslowski as Dr. Wieslaw Maslowski. Such language belies your bias. Had you called him Wieslaw fucking Maslowski and then laughed Hahahahahaha, then you might have succeeded in hiding your preconceptions from the untrained eyes of your readers.

NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK REALLY!!!) that shows the world isn't warming and CO2 isn't a greenhouse gas. If only the reality was funny...
"Global Highlights [November 2009]
The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature for November 2009 was 0.60°C (1.08°F) above the 20th century average of 12.9°C (55.2°F). This is the fourth warmest such value on record.
The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature for September-November 2009 was the fourth warmest on record for the season, 0.59°C (1.06°F) above the 20th century average of 14.0°C (57.1°F).
For the year to date, the combined global land and ocean surface temperature of 14.6 °C (58.2 °F) was the fifth-warmest January-November period on record. This value is 0.56°C (1.01°F) above the 20th century average.
The worldwide ocean surface temperature for November 2009 was the the fourth warmest on record for November, 0.51°C (0.92°F) above the 20th century average of 15.8°C (60.4°F).
The seasonal (September-November 2009) worldwide ocean surface temperature was also the fourth warmest on record, 0.50°C (0.90°F) above the 20th century average of 16.0°C (60.7°F).
In the Southern Hemisphere, both the November 2009 average temperature for land areas, and the Hemisphere as a whole (land and ocean surface combined), represented the warmest November on record."

Man made global warming is a load of shite. ,Because more people aren't into religion and all that shite anymore, they need to believe in something a cause if you will.
The followers of the the climate change bollox, are quite similar to bible thumpers in that when confronted with logic they either run away or get extremely aggressive.
I had one of that lot round my house bullying me the other week. The wife was out otherwise she's have probably believed everything this dusky coloured woman said. She was quite fit actually, and she initally was flirting a bit pity, she was sent round to annoy me. Took her round the front garden and said 'look at those hedges' , explained every week I have to clean them out because all the drunks chuck shit in there.
I said before I decide to recycle anything or go green, you lot should get some enforcement people round here , so I don't have to pick other peoples rubbish up. And apart from that I told her to sort out the street lighting as a woman got assaulted down the road. I hope the lights aren't not working to save energy I says to her.
Thats how you deal with them.Make them feel like complete idiots. They are bothering me a home owner about recycling when they have troops of drunken idiots chucking takeaway packets, beer tins and worse into all our front garden.

Climate change? Well, we'll be dead by then
12 December 2009
"More than all that, I can spot the same rhetorical themes re-emerging in climate change foolishness that you see in aids denialism, homeopathy, and anti-vaccination conspiracy theorists.
Among all these, reigning supreme, is the "zombie argument": arguments which survive to be raised again, for eternity, no matter how many times they are shot down. "Homeopathy worked for me," and the rest.
Zombie arguments survive, immortal and resistant to all refutation, because they do not live or die by the normal standards of mortal arguments. There's a huge list of them at realclimate.org, with refutations. There are huge lists of them everywhere. It makes no difference.
"CO2 isn't an important greenhouse gas", "Global warming is down to the sun", "what about the cooling in the 1940s?" says your party bore. "Well," you reply, "since the last time you raised this, I checked, and there were loads of sulphites in the air in the 1940s to block out the sun, made from the slightly different kind of industrial pollution we had then, and the odd volcano, so that's been answered already, ages ago."
And they knew that. And you know they knew you could find out, but they went ahead anyway and wasted your time, and worse than that, you both know they're going to do it again, to some other poor sap. And that is rude."

I will spell it out for you, the existance of man made global warming has everything to do with a local official coming round to try and bully me into recycling, which she sadly failed at. Why? because it is one of the scare tactics these environmental nuts use to convince the sheep. And when that doesn't work they start fining people .
She cared more about trying to bully me into recycling than the drunks dropping litter all over peoples gardens which is also an environmental issue.Because being a homeowner who pays council tax Iam an easier target ,than paying for wardens to fine drunk people who ruin the fabric of the street They would rather spend local government money on these naff recycling schemes and make leaflets on global warming than repair streetlights.Which might have been a factor in a woman getting badly sexually assaulted.

Just another zombie argument to try and make up for a complete lack of science. "More interesting is what is not contained in the emails. There is no evidence of any worldwide conspiracy, no mention of George Soros nefariously funding climate research, no grand plan to ‘get rid of the MWP’, no admission that global warming is a hoax, no evidence of the falsifying of data, and no ‘marching orders’ from our socialist/communist/vegetarian overlords. GM and Exxon are actually pro cap & trade. So am I. It allows the flow of money to make the necessary changes for complience with the new regulations. It's been used before & been proven to work. Cap & trade is what put the scrubbers into the American smokestack industries, brought acid rain down to tolerable levels, & saved the timber forests that were being killed across the northern tier of States & Canada. That was over 30 years ago. Anybody still bitching about acid rain? Of course not. All the same right wing whining & wimpering about how it was going to destroy America was going on then too. Didn't happen, & there's no reason to think it'll happen this time.
Cap & trade is what allows industry to come into compliance without everybody having to shut down all at once to retool. Of course GM & Exxon are pro cap & trade. But don't kid yourself. If they had their druthers, there's be no regulation at all for them to comply with, & that's what you're promoting, Nino.
Who are YOU to tell me I have no idea what I am talking about? Mighty Pretentious of ya..No pretense. Just an honest observation based on your own words & the sources you promote. It's not an attack. You really don't know what you're talking about. You're misinformed because you give more credence than is due to other people who either don't know what they're talking about or have an agenda. Usually the same agenda that you spend so much time griping about & accusing others of having. There's no global conspiracy to turn everybody into a mindless commie tree hugger. You're being duped by the alarmists. Again: Is there really anybody, including you, who actually believes it's a good idea to keep poluting the air? That's the position you're promoting.

Wow, you support it huh? Well it doesn't surprise me as you have probably not done your homework.
Cap & Trade is actually destroying the rain forest/environment and indigenous cultures. It is giving corporate industries and Financial organisations like the World Bank the impetus to fund smaller energy enterprises in third world nations; thus spreading out like a cancer, clear cutting forests, and wiping out traditional locals way's of life. This is an intentional response on their behalf, of reducing their primary source of carbon emmisions in light of the new policy; while distributing new money making skeems elswhere.
More over, the "policy makers" also are succeeding in population control/reduction (Eugenics) in underdeveloped regions by destroying local economies, raking in $ off of heavy loan interests and and monopolizing business (almost anonymously) to very high levels. This is what is going on, Hippi. Sorry, but your personal attacks make you look like an ass. Don't pick up the debating tactics of Chef! Cap & Trade is actually destroying the rain forest/environment and indigenous cultures.Oh really? Got some details to go along with that statement? How about some places, dates, names, etc... You claim that you post details. Let's see some. Give me something that isn't just some bozo on you tube or infowars shooting off their mouth.
The developing world (third world is a cold war term that's meaningless since the collapse of the USSR) is ruining their own landscape. In some parts of Africa for instance, they're deforesting to burn the wood as fuel. In the Amazon basin, the deforestation is mostly to create rangeland that can't even support grass. These people have no services. There's no economy in these places. Average lifespan is less than 40 years. They used to have a high enough infant mortality rate to keep their populations in check, but now we have doctors & whatnot going in to save those babies without helping to curb the number of births. Africa has had at least a half dozen major famines just in my adult lifetime. There's no food production. Arable land was turned to the production of cash crops like tobacco & coffee over a century ago. All of this has been going on for centuries. The IMF only dates back to the end of WWII. None of it has anything to do with cap & trade.
What? You think the developing world would rather not develop? You better think again. They're neither stupid nor ignorant. They know how the developed world lives. What are you advocating here? Do you know? It doesn't seem like it.

Whether it's man-made or not, should people do something, especially if we can. What's wrong with recycling, walk to the store for a change, or perhaps avoid dumping toxic chemicals down the drain. Do you really need to be driving alone in that huge SUV? These are not huge lifestyle changes.
I think Americans just hate being wrong (right) and refuse to accept responsibility (left). We need to stop dwelling on these petty things. Being the most powerful nation in the world, we can turn this around (man-made or not). Let's just deal with the problem and stop the blame game.
The outcome (or lack thereof) of Copenhagen is the best that can ever happened. We don't need to be "forced" to comply. We should just do it willingly. I am refusing to bankroll any other country. We are doing so much of that already (albeit for other things). I bet China is taking their own initiative, because it's killing their people.
I think the US is on the right path and pace. We just have to continue doing it. It's difficult to change the minds of old farts. Our best bet is the younger generation.

What's your point? There's corruption everywhere. Yes, including profiteering through the climate change message. I'm not a fan of cap and trade, but do you prefer a heavier hand approach?
Seriously, why do you deny the evidence because of a few bad eggs or opportunist? It's a free market. Didn't you complain if gas went through the roof when there is a storm in the gulf. You would expect that oil companies losing a lot of money because of shutdown. But it's the other way around. That's just capitalism.

Everybody's assuming corruption because of connections, but there's no evidence of any actual corruption in that article. Just a lot of innuendo.
When you want to tap someone to run an international agency, you look for the best & brightest. You don't go looking for someone who doesn't know anybody & has no experience in the field. Oh I guess we could always just grab some drunk out of the gutter, because that's the only way to find somebody who has no connection with anybody & can't be tied to some imaginary conspiracy theory.
Dr Pachauri wasn't Casey Jones who went back to school & got a degree in economics. He's not a railroad engineer. He's an industrial engineer. His first real job out of college just happened to be with a manufacturer of deisel locomotives. He wasn't driving the train.
This guy is one of the celebrated minds in the engineering world. Why is anybody surprized that he was making money before he was hired by the UN? Why is anybody surprized that he's not divesting himself of all worldly posessions or his various titles & positions that give him his paycheck to do what might just be a temporary gig? What? Do we need a vow of poverty from anybody in a position of public trust now?
He wasn't hired to make the case on global warming. He was hired to look at solutions to bring down carbon emissions around the world. He's got the goods. He has the technical & economic background to where nobody can sell him a bill of goods. It's about time we got people into running these kinds of programs that aren't just political hacks or ideologues.
This tabloid mentality of trying to smear anybody possible has gotten totally out of hand. If anybody comes up with some evidence of actual corruption, I'll listen, but that article is a crock.
