One of the best hands down and my ATF - Neal Peart of Rush!
His style, technique, talent, and precision are rare and combined with his writing not many can match.

Billy Cobham is the man. Never misses. Keeps everybody on, adds effect as needed, & only gets overpowering when it's called for. He plays with anybody in any genre. I first saw him with the Mahavishnu Orchestra in 1972, & he's still going strong.

Billy Cobham is the man. On the money every time.
Mind you Tony Williams and Alphonse Mouzon were/are no slouches either.
For out and out power it has to be Mr Bonham.

Elainne from Snap-Her
Two come to mind right off. One male, one female. The great Al Jackson of Stax fame being the first. Laid the beat for many who rep'd that " Memphis Sound". The second being Ms Sheila Escovedo. Dynamic and energetic drummer who can cross the bridge from Latin to Jazz to Rock/Pop with relative ease. Plus she is sexy as $#%@. And lastly, my man P aint too bad behind a set either..... 8) 8)

Don't get me wrong, I like Meg. She has charisma and oozes coolness. Even though she's not a technically great drummer, I'd rather listen to her playing than some bore like Neil Peart.
