The big innovation of the movie is that Cameron and Co. have developed a new type of CGI that captures the physical expressions/emotions of real actors and transfers those fine muscular movements to a computer generated character.

If this is true, and I don't believe it is, his movie will make back its money 3 fold.

There is no way this movie is going to profit. Sounds like another "Cleopatera". A big budget movie, which will look good and do well on video, but be a flop in the short term.

I'm really torn on this one, Terminators 1 and 2 were incredible action movies and Aliens comfortably ranks in my Top 10 movies of all time. Then he made Titanic, so shit and so long that it counts as 3 bad movies all on its own.

That leaves me 0 for 0 on Cameron films, I haven't seen True Lies or The Abyss

This movie kinda looks like "what if we made Aliens again, except in this scenario, the humans are bad and the aliens are all ...colourful! ...Oh and beautiful! ...And also good!"

For me the photorealism style of the movie kinda flops, the vibrancy of the setting looks like a cartoon, though on that note realism can suck my balls, I like distinct visual style in my pop culture.

I will see it, but I won't be surprised if I have the same nauseous reaction that I did when I saw Titanic.

it looks incredible and it is going to be incredible, he is revolutionizing the film industry, its unprecedented technology being used, an amazing story, meant to be watched in 3D imax, been looking forward to this for over a year!

and hes been working and waiting for the technology to get better, its over 15 years in the making. fuck all the haters.
