How to erase activity on Craigslist?

If anyone knows how to make the different color highlighting of previous activity on Craigslist disappear, please PM me.
I have tried erasing my browsing history and erasing temporary internet files and cookies. Nothing seems to work. I emailed their helpline but they do not answer.
As I often check CL for casual encounters and adult services I need to be able to hide this activity. Please help!

Reformat your hard drive, it's the only way.

Erase history.

Reload page so the browser shows all unvisited.

erasing history
empty your cache
delete cookies

You may have to restart your browser?

Tools->Delete Browsing History

ctrl+shift+del

Chrome
Wrench->Options->Personal Stuff->Clear browsing data
