Let's play a new game...

Guess the movie line, then it's your turn.

Only one rule, you have to guess from your own current knowledge. No search engines, no wiki, no imdb.

Let's start with a really easy one:

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning."

ie.

Apocalypse Now.

Here is one, "hint" over 10 yr old movie, didn't do well in the box office but is now one of the memorable movies of the 90's.

Where did you come up with the scratch for that? You've been rolling fags in the Village again, haven't you?

"I bet you're the kind of guy that would fuck a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around"

this started the use of the word reach-around by regular joes.

only read the bonus quotes below if youre really stuck:

bonus 1 ...

"Is that you john Wayne? Is this me?"

bonus 2:...read only if you're tearing your hair out...

"A day without blood is a day without sunshine"

and if you still dont know I might as well give you the one that everybody knows from this movie:

"Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite."

Yep. Am a Phil Collins and Genesis fan too.

We used to dance to Invisible Touch and sing "She seems to wear an invisible toupe" at parties.

My favourite album is this one from 1983. I played it over and over.

I saw them in concert on MTV, performing Home By The Sea from this album. Phil Collins moves down to a set of drums and does a drum solo from the song, so there are two guys playing sets of drums syncronously, and then he starts singing while doing this. Great talent.

And you got it right, so its your turn. We need a quote from a movie, please.

"I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job. I'm very sorry the government taxes their tips, that's fucked up. That ain't my fault. It would seem to me that waitresses are one of the many groups the government fucks in the ass on a regular basis. Look, if you ask me to sign something that says the government shouldn't do that, I'll sign it, put it to a vote, I'll vote for it, but what I won't do is play ball. And as for this non-college bullshit I got two words for that: learn to fuckin' type, 'cause if you're expecting me to help out with the rent you're in for a big fuckin' surprise."

Anyone...?
