Hmmmm... one more thing that needs to be done. Outlaw private armies. Companies like Blackwater should have never been allowed to exist.

Nothing surprising here. Jeremy Scahill's 'Blackwater' exposed Eric Prince as a wealthy REICHwing religious nutjob from a long line of same.

I have a private army. It's fun to have a private army.

The payroll is a bitch.

You're not following Mr. Prince's example. See, you start out with highly trained American ex-soldiers who demand a high wage and then gradually replace them with third world thugs who work cheap....and are a lot less discriminating about who they shoot at. Of course, you inform the Americans that if they want to keep their jobs, they have to lower their prices as well. The secret is to keep YOUR prices high while you're lowering the wages of employees. Prince is an exceptional student of American Capitalism.

TBH, while I don't think private armys should be allowed anywhere, I'm especially concerned that they may be used back here on American soil. Blackwater showed up to "help out" during Katrina and I'm not comfortable with the kind of "clean up help" that those nutbags are likely to offer during a national emergency.

Would it not be great if a reverse trend started?
Witness/worker/former worker/whistleblower kills CEO's.

Heh, no, actually that would be just as bad... mebbe worse... total anarchy. Not that some of them don't deserve it but... the results would likely be horrid.

The ideal results would be that a bunch of CEO's lose thier jobs and some go to jail(with hefty fines and bonus clawbacks). Bascially, law and order...

Anyway, back to Blackwater, MSNBC has been doing a series of interviews with the Nation's Jeremy Scahill on the Blackwater case.

Techi, you will never see the ideal results as you mentioned, because the CEO's have the politicians on both side of the aisle in their pockets.I am not talking about all CEO's,just the ones not involved in music, video games and decent sports franchises.

Under normal conditions I would agree. Our establishment crooks can put up a pretty decent united front when their common interests are aligned. But will thier common interests remain aligned thru an extended downturn?

History would say no, these guys are gonna start knifing each other in the back at an accelerated pace as the economy continues to crumble.

Which member of our establishment wants to be the next Richard Fuld(Lehman ex-CEO)?

I think establishment consensus is going to crack under extreme economic pressure. The only question is what are we going to get in it's place?
