George Carlin is, in my opinion, the greatest stand up comedian of all-time. I am so glad that I got to see him live on his last tour before he passed away.

Some of my other favorites are Lewis Black, Patton Oswald, Mitch Hedberg, Greg Giraldo, Lavell Crawford, Brian Posehn, and Bill Hicks.
