Its actually ABOUT my poetry... in a way

Matriarch
Cautiously, I abandon the familiar.
All too aware it lends false peace.
And dwindles away aspirations of greatness
Until finally, we are deceased.

Calling on ancestors long gone,
Who would very well shutter at their great-grand-seed.
Following without reason- wild birds and gathering grain-
As if there were no civic examples for me to take heed.
... So I take my lead.

Some ancient hex- perhaps, branded La Lyssa.
Before she ever came to be.
Maturing to it's utmost potency.
Ultimately taking hold- Inside me.

Out of respect for that which is not understood
At this point in my youth,
I bide my time most faithful.
Developing and displaying my truth.

Very likely, a lack of worldly possessions drives me
To so very intensely hone my bounty inwardly.

We're talking Eve of Eden beauty.
Buried scripture rarity.
Trusting instincts and estrogen will carry me.
To a vision of perfect clarity.

Ensuring my lover is a deity.
Yes, I too will mother an ancestry.
Young daughters in transition will call upon me.
