She is complaining that the Obama Administration screens the questions they answer beforehand. The Administration told a specific reporter to pick a question that was screened by them. The Administration is trying to make itself look good by doing this. It is controlling because reporters cannot ask the questions they want to ask.

The Huffington post approached Gibbs with a question that had been sent to them from Iran, & asked specifically if they could get it into the press conferrence. Of course he's going to read it before he gives a yea or nay. That's it. Helen Thomas is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Sorry Helen, but the Washington press corps doesn't get to control the "gaggle", let alone an actual press conference with the President. You may have gotten a lot of love from your collegues while in the Whitehouse doghouse during the Bush administration, just because you're old, but you really aren't the center of anybody else's universe.

That is not true. The deputy press secretary admitted that they were ones that approached him.
