Molly Sugden aka Mrs. Slocombe from "Are You Being Served" died today aged 86 in the UK.
I hadn't seen the show since the early 80's until I moved to the USA and it's still getting re-run (along with Benny Hill) - no wonder most American's don't get my British humour, unless they have BBC America or HBO.

However dated this show was, it will always be a classic.

I've never brought up this show in conversation. It's just nobody knows about it. How does an 11 year old kid relate a show like "Are You Being Served" to his friends who were probably not even born with the show first air. This show is why I donate to PBS, classic British comedy. Yeah, John Inman (Mr. Humphries) died 2 years ago at age 71 in St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London.. :cry:
