I read about this many years ago. It is one of the few conspiracy theories I find credible. Why did we end our moon missions, scrapping all of the great plans which included using the moon as a base? Why did our manned space exploration become limited to orbit? We spent the next 30 years investing our space technology in the Space Shuttle which has proven itself to be a major step backward.

Not ALL Presidents are privy to these super secrets, though. Believe it or not the intelligence community gets to decide who they want to share this with. It was one of the first secrets that Bill Clinton wanted to find out about when he became president. He couldn't get any asnwers. I'm sure that since he was a two term president that he eventually got his answer. Jimmy Carter who was once a Naval Officer admitted to seeing a UFO while in the Navy. It is believed that when he became president he was briefed on the UFO situation by CIA Director George HW Bush.
