The CIA's in big trouble. She's not the only member of the house intelligence committee making this claim. It's going to be interesting to see just how much stuff gets declassified by the time this is all over.

CIA's taking a fall. The whole nation is disgusted with its behavior. The armed services are disgusted. Circumventing oversight procedures, lying and of course the big one...torture.

So let me get this straight. Had Pelosi had the conjones to raise an objection to the CIA's torture plan in a committee briefing would anything have changed? Would the CIA rep have said: "By God, you're right. We can't use these techniques!" I'll advise the president that we can't do this." Ha ha What ever happened to "the buck stops at the oval office'?

It wouldn't make her look like a liar and a hypocrite after all these years. She built the 2006 campaign around moral outrage over Bush's actions in the GWOT. Now that this comes to light, it would seem very out of character for someone known for covering her ass to not write an objection, even a confidential one.
