I think Rose's new show was possible because of the ground breaking show done in neighboring Pakistan by Ali Saleem, better known by his female character name Begum Nawazih Ali. The late night show was very popular in its 2-3 run. When it was taken off the air in 2008 due to political pressure, I believe a new show was hosted from India.
