I'm sure this will get lost in a deluge of dick threads, but I was reading Andrew Vachss 2006 release Mask Market and evidently one of the characters he's had as a recurring heroine in a number of his "Burke" novels is a post op trans woman.
The character is well rounded and quite effective for those who are looking for a nice fictional analogue...

That was a terrific series of novels. In the first 5-6 novels, Michelle was pre-op though. I haven't read the later books yet but I'm sure she didn't change much after the operation.

You know I was pretty sure she'd started out as pre-op, but this is the first of his books I've read so I didn't want to jump the gun.
There's actually another trans in Mask Market too. He seems to be fairly nonchalant with the whole idea.

Okay, so, at risk of hijacking (who me?)..

Seriously, though, how many of you are interested in full-length novels featuring a transwoman or transwomen as the heroine/romantic interest?

Would you prefer to buy a trad paper book or would you prefer an on-line e-book format or .pdf?

If a paper book, where would you want to buy-- a) online direct from a publisher's website, b) via an online book retailer like Amazon, c) from a special-interest website like this one, d) from a specialist LGBT interest physical shop or e) your local high-street bookseller?

I presume most people looking for e-book format are happy to download, but is there any preferred format?
