my professor sent me a review for an exam
its in docx and i cant open it.
i found only one converter online, but it was a scam :?
if i send it to your email, can you open it & convert it to word for me, or just copy and paste the text in a reply email?
i'd really really appreciate it.

Hey Alyssa. Good to see you got it open.
If you're on a mac, try downloading Neo Office. It's a free open-source off-shoot of Open Office. It supposedly opens DocX files.
If you're on a PC, Open Office may also do it...but I don't use it so I don't know...

I use Open Office instead of Word for my college classes. It's free and I think it's better than Word.

Have you considered converting entirely over to Neovagina?

Microsoft has a patch so you can open any docx file in any version of word.

The simplest thing to do is just drop the"x" off of the extension. It worked for me until I upgraded. You can do that for any of the Office 2007 files.

HATE the new Office. If anyone's thinking about upgrading... Don't.

Maybe figuring out how to open it IS the exam.

Alyssa,
The new version of Word has a "save as" which would let your professor create a ".doc" copy of your review. Next time, email your prof & request he send out just such a format. It's one that can be read by both the old and the new versions of Word. Most teachers will be happy to do something like that.

WTF, Just download and install the converter. Office 07 works fine and you can open the docx files with the converter if you have an older version.
