I'm a bit partial to Trigun myself. Great story. FLCL is pretty wild, but awesome little series.

Cowbody Bebop - No Doubt! On that list.

Actually Robotech, Voltron and The Transformers are largely reponsible for the explosion of anime in the US.

It also made Local Stations a force to be reckoned with because producers no longer had to sell their product to just network stations.

Cable opened the door for more mature and adult themed anime and cartoons in general.

Samurai Champoo soundtrack is the best in anime right now. Some super tight hip hop beats and the show itself isn't bad either.

I wasn't aware Trigun was cancelled. They showed the whole series several times, so what can ya do? I actually haven't watched CN for awhile, I need to check out what the current line up is.

As far as Cowboy Beebop, I really can't put that on my list (no offense), it's just a little too slick. Great story, great characters, awesome music, sweet cyberpunk setting, everything was great. It had no flaws.

That bores me. I like shows with flaws, that take crazy chances. Trigun- the main character was named "Vash The Stampede", which is ridiculous. He's a master gunslinger, eats donuts, and acts like a goofball. Some of that was irritating for awhile, but the story taken as a whole was fuckin great. Real emotional impact when the whole story played out.

I like that kinda stuff. If somethings too perfect, it just seems a bit bland to me. I like things with obvious flaws, seems more real.

Bleach is good, you can only get it fan-subbed though.

Hellsing was a good series too. I'm a big fan of Cowboy Bebop. When Spike died, I felt like somebody I knew died.

GTO was a good series along with Goldenboy, just to name a couple that haven't been mentioned or come on adult swim.

I actually burned a lot of Samurai Champloo's songs onto a CD and bump them on my way to work. Lot of good beats.

What about the Hentai stuff? This is a porn forum after all. I haven't watched any in years, I was into it back in the Urotsukadoji era, and I really got into La Blue Girl for awhile.

Hoboki, that spunky little blonde cutie who's clit could magically grow out to like eight inches long. She was hot.

Tsk everyones wrong, Neon Genesis Evangelion is better than all of them. Cowboy Bebop And Samurai Champloo (Theyre made by the same company) come in at a close second

Cowboy Bebop is the best Anime ive ever seen. As a matter of fact, its the best cartoon ive ever seen. Samurai Champloo comes in a close second.

Both of them have excellent soundtracks.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was a little bit overrated to me. A mecha with a power cord?? Nah. A whiny little boy who has issues? Nah.

Couldn't get into it.

Its all psychological man, I do admit the Cord was limiting but thats what added to all the great moments of tension. I mean When that fuckin cord gets broken ur just a sitting duck. That show was the perfect mind fuck once you got into it.

Mezzo Forte is probably one of the most amazingly drown cartoons ever, So is Kite.
