I also participate in the Corvette Engineering Advisory Board. Although Lingenfelter Engineering doea a tremendous job squeezing more power out of the Corvette, they have had no part whatsoever, in the development nor production of the 2009 Corvette ZR1. It was, for many years, a Chevrolet "Skunk Works" Toy, which the nosey media dubbed "Blue Devil". Before Chevrolet decided on ZR1, it was to be called the Corvette S/S.

StaggerLee, good to hear from you. I agree, that if either of those two got the opportunity to package the ZR1, the would be "Godzilla". Huh? The look and the design are substantially changed since 1980. Since 1980 there have been 3 major redesigns. I think you're stuck in the 80s. The current Vette is a world-class contender and a great value for the money.

I've already seen four ZR1s on the streets of LA; those in the know do have double takes. As for the GT-R being recalled, lmao!!

I'd roll one...especially with Vaniity in the passenger seat.

In most of the magazines I've read so far, test show the ZR-1 whips the Ferrari 599, Porsche GT3, and the Nissan GT-R, so Chevy must have done something right!

3 most common problems with GTR's
1st-Electrical.first month sold electrical fires were very common
2nd-Transmission was recalled
3rd-ECU/PCM recalled due to not reading Emission Equipment.
