A ZR-1 is most definately not made by Lingenfelter. It's pure Chevy.

It's pure Chevy.Ok let us Re-evaluate....Lingenfelter,Builds only the motor...Not the body,They have exclusive rights on taking the Badges ZR1 off and put their prominate "Lingenfelter" Logo....(Brain isnt in the game right now) Lol. Forgot the differences till now Derg me.....

No, you're wrong. Lingenfelter has nothing to do with the ZR-1. The LS-9 engine is totally GM.

You obviously have the ZR-1 confused with another vehicle.

One last time, Lingenfelter has nothing to do, no relationship with, no connection at all with the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1.

Yes, Lingenfelter customizes Corvettes.

Now, excuse me while I go out and sit in my ZR-1.

Beagle is CORRECT and you are NOT, ef9hatchman!!!

I am a Corvette Specialist for a large Chevy store, have been an owner ( present owner of a '72 LS5 Coupe & an '03 50th Anniv, Coupe) since 1969. I also participate in the Corvette Engineering Advisory Board. Although Lingenfelter Engineering doea a tremendous job squeezing more power out of the Corvette, they have had no part whatsoever, in the development nor production of the 2009 Corvette ZR1. It was, for many years, a Chevrolet "Skunk Works" Toy, which the nosey media dubbed "Blue Devil". Before Chevrolet decided on ZR1, it was to be called the Corvette S/S.

Nah Vaniity would talk you into letting her drive it
and she would fucking wreck it, that fucking crack ho!

All joking aside, that is possibly one of the most
beautiful cars I have ever seen. One more thing
if Vaniity wanted to drive my Vette I would let her
too :)

Corvettedude, I was waiting for you to reply, knew you would come in and straighten things out. But this whole thing makes me wonder...what IF Lingenfeltler,Inc, or Callaway got their hands on one of these Blue Devils? Do you remember the Sledgehammer, from the 90's? 256 mph, if I remember correctly...God only knows what they could do now.

StaggerLee, good to hear from you. I agree, that if either of those two got the opportunity to package the ZR1, the would be "Godzilla". Let's see what they come up with, now that a few cars are in the public's hands. As Cheech and Chong said, we'll spread a little "Magic Dust"! Take a look at this linked vid, if it works.

I know the company is still in buisness, but John Lingenfelter, founder, died christmas day 2003 after being injured in a race in october 2002.

I respect the horsepower, but the look hasn't noticably changed since 1980, and that's the reason it's become an old man's car.

Actually, I believe they won't even sell it to you unless you have gray hair.

Well, I would be elated if they'd do a complete redesign and then get a whole new generation of fans, but that's why we're bailing them out and I own a foreign car, isn't it?

Huh? The look and the design are substantially changed since 1980. Since 1980 there have been 3 major redesigns. I think you're stuck in the 80s. The current Vette is a world-class contender and a great value for the money.

These cars look nothing alike...

I've already seen four ZR1s on the streets of LA; those in the know do have double takes. As for the GT-R being recalled, lmao!!

I'd roll one...especially with Vaniity in the passenger seat.

Double fuckin' post!

In most of the magazines I've read so far, test show the ZR-1 whips the Ferrari 599, Porsche GT3, and the Nissan GT-R, so Chevy must have done something right!

3 most common problems with GTR's
1st-Electrical.first month sold electrical fires were very common
2nd-Transmission was recalled
3rd-ECU/PCM recalled due to not reading Emission Equipment.

I will fully rescind saying they've not changed since 1980. They've not fundamentally changed since 1983:
