Edelweiss closed like 7 years ago, was the only place on west side unless your talking about no bar in the village. Manhattan is big you gotta be more more specific like what street ? the village ? chinatown ? lower midtown is 20-40th street between 8-10 ave on west side. Edelweiss had no shows but never heard of a Tranny bar without pro's , that would be a first

was in the teens or 20's near b'way. the girls were not pro's and most were part time. they came to hook up for a good time. all had other jobs. i know edelweiss...totally different vibe.

Likely White Swan - girls not quite the visual caliber of Allanah's and Sunny's dazzling women but definetly fun. There's also Nowhere Bar on 14th - same fun cd vibe.

On Saturday night I passed by 7th & 10th St and saw what looked like a bar frequented by Trans. I believe the this is the same place as Edelweiss 2. Anybody has noticed it?.

should be silver swan...
you would expect a city like NY to have some bars that are more authentic in human connection then the money machines we all know,
where every word coming out of your mouth costs you $20 and you never know if anyone is interested in you beyond your money...(guess not)...
that's a bad feeling, a fake encounter and no fun in my book...

After Edelweiss got thrown out of 43rd/44th I think they took up residence for a very short time on 8th street in the west village. This might be what you're talking about. Otherwise, could be on 7th just south of Christoper where Edelweiss was for a bit more time, after leaving the 8th street location. The other place was down on Varick and 7th on the corner that was an after hours in the 80's and was taken over by a t'bar in the late 90's.
I can remember being there the night Princess Diana was killed and hearing about it there.

That is the worst scene in NY. The claustrophobic vibe is matched only by what is almost always, the ugliest and most obnoxious chicks. I don't think I've ever stayed in there more than fifteen minutes. They also used to have very aggressive bouncers trolling around, making sure no one is having any fun. I used to notice the same guy from Edelweiss there so he probably kept it that way because of the cops breaking his balls.
In any case, that place sucks.

So you expect us to take your serious. How serious you can take a girl, especially if she's is not the porn star passable style.?

Something gotta give !
