Alyssa,, You just hit a grand slam on that one.. It is the greatest treat. I like the ones from Derobertis bakery across Second avenue as well.. btw. your super hot.

yea, they're addictive. never knew what they were called. always thought of them as cookies that looked like they had little garlic cloves on top

Ehm, the right term, to be fussy, in italian is "pinoli"
Pignolo in italian is a fussy person...like me...lol
By the way pinoli are also a very important ingredient of pesto alla genovese (with basil...of course)[/img]

SO TRUE Tanuki...Derobertis is the best bakery in the city..I love that place and they make a mean Pignoli !!!

It's ok, most italian cuisine words are americanized.
Salami in italian is "salame", fettuccini are "fettuccine" and so on...
