Large Areolas on TS Women?

Genetic women generally have larger areolas (darker colored ring around the nimple) than men. I have seen pics of TS women with large areolas, is this a result of taking hormones or a surgical procedure?

mine were naturally large. Hormones did affect the size and color however, they are much larger than they were proir to my transitioning

As with everything else connected with the human body, size does vary, but by and large the increase is due to hormonal changes.
