Over the last few days I've noticed alot of questions about HIV/AIDS, catching STDS etc in this forum. My question to all of the men posting these questions is this. Do you worry about these things when you have sex with genetic females? Do you assume most transsexuals have diseases and that's why you're asking all of these questions?

Let's get to the point, you can get STDS and HIV/AIDS from anyone. Diseases are equal opportunistic and can be carried by anyone male, female, or transsexual.

It's almost like going back to the dark ages and believing that only gay men have AIDS. It sounds to me like there are alot of people who need to do their homework. There are many websites out there for you to visit where you can learn all about how you can get diseases.

Just trying to make a point here, don't assume just because someone lives an alternative lifestyle that they automatically are a disease carrier, it's prejudice to do so.

people ask questions on here, nothing new

HA is possibly getting a Health forum so all of these questions can be moved and in some cases restarted in there in the near future............

That's an excellent idea actually. It may put alot of the fears many men have to rest.

I find the questions insulting and often degrading. Like they are asking what to do if a venemous snake bites you.

I also think the inference and assumption that TS is a subset and faction of the gay community is simply wrong.

I think because Sex ed is taught in a "biblical" way, where sex with a female is glorified, but you get shown the "how to make a baby" video so that you dont run out that day to have sex with mary sue youve been crushing on.
Conversely, anal or gay sex is demonized as a no-no and all the bad is shown, like a std study from 1970 that says homosexuals are the leaders in every std known to man.

What was so funny about sex ed in my school is that when they did all that, a few weeks later, mono and crabs got awful popular among the upper classmen.

well i think essentially they ARE asking and seeking online for their answers

they prob feel that by asking the board that they belong to that they will get more answers and less judgements.... they were wrong

also prob feel that they should ask the group in which they play... looking around the board i would assume that means ... trannies and tranny hookers

i see nothing wrong w/ asking the board questions.... unless thats where your search stops

I was going to ask what was going on with the STD questions. Not to discriminate but it is factually true that AIDS is more prevelent. I mean you should worry about STD's from both genetic girls and transsexual girls but being more cautious with transsexuals i think is smart no matter how prejudce it is. But i totally know what you mean when you say u hate how people look at TS as disease ridden sluts, and i def agree

On the Stopping The Hate website we have an information and resource page about HIV/AIDS with facts and figures and links to the Outreach Progams state by state.

I also find many of the topics and questions and in some cases statements made by individuals repulsive which is why I chose to stop reading those types of threads in HA 2 years ago.......

The Collective Unit (mods) have all gotten together and I once again suggested the forum I mentioned earlier in this thread.

Please do what I do until such a forum comes into fruition......ignore what you dont want to read and enjoy the rest of the forum.

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think what you see is based on prejudice. The focus is on transsexual prostitutes simple because of the particular forum we are on. Also a lot of these guys bottom when they see a TS escort, and most of the teachings out there say that anal sex is a high risk activity.

Obviously you can get diseases from a GG, the risk is of course higher if they are having sex with multiple people on a daily basis. Basically what I'm saying is a person might do well to consider the context before getting offended.

I agree with Jen. The result of more questions is more awareness. Once disease hits, many of them stay. If just one of us can avoid contracting anything because someone's questions got us thinking and changing our behavior - like getting blown or blowing raw, for example and getting us to us condoms - it's a blessing.
