Firefox 3. It has better security and litany of useful addons. Firefox + AdBlock Plus + NoScript alone is heaven, not to mention all the others.

Maxthon IS NOT Linux Based... actually IS VERY MICROSOFT.

Maxthon is built on top of the same libraries of IE... actually, its build in partnership with Microsoft....

And just so not to start an argument... here is the text from wikipedia....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxthon

Maxthon (pronounced [ˈmękstən] and formerly known as MyIE2) is a China-based freeware (more specifically donateware) web browser for Windows. From its early MyIE2 roots, Maxthon has developed a growing user base, especially in China, and in 2006 it received commercial backing for Maxthon 2.0.[1] It uses the Trident layout engine, just like Microsoft's Internet Explorer, but it can use the Gecko engine used in Mozilla Firefox as well.

Maxthon seeks to provide many rich features and a highly customizable interface, without losing any of the compatibility of Internet Explorer.
In January 2006, Maxthon developers partnered with Microsoft in its booth at the Consumer Electronics Show.

I'm not sure how AOL broadband works, but if it is an "always-on" connection like most broadband, you can install whatever browser you want and just bring it up instead. If AOL requires some sort of sign-on, or if, God forbid, you have AOL dialup, you might have to use their software for signing on, but then you can bring up the other browser for everything else.

As for mail, I imagine they have a web mail feature that allows you to bring up your mail in whatever browser, or if they don't keep the settings too secretive, you could probably set up an email program like Outlook, Thunderbird, or Eudora.

Even if it's not "always on" all you need to do is connect and then you can use any broswer you like.

I like Opera because it sticks most to the W3C standards. Also, some of the features are really cool like having access to you bookmarks no matter where you are which includes your mobile devices.

Security is also very tight which is more than I can say for IE for sure.

Yeah. I actually use Opera for HA and porn sites. It caches images better that anything else I use. Also, I should mention for those that don't know, Firefox has a bookmark addon that saves your bookmarks to it's site and synchronizes them whenever you want. It's called Foxmarks. I don't know if it has mobile compatibility though.

I use Firefox 3.0.2 and Opera 9.62.I use Opera since its suposed the most safe browser and its more comfortable than Firefox.
I use Firefox since its has the best addons of all browsers, for example downthemall.Unfortunatelly Firefox 3 is pretty unstablle on my PC.It crashes often when i open a website(not all) or open pdf-files or flv-videos.

I use Chrome for practically everything. For the few sites that don't load/work properly, I simply use Firefox or Minefield.

Opera. I like that it caches seperately from other browsers, and I like the delete private data feature.
