HOW MANY ANGELS CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITY??

I was just curious. Do any girls volunteer or have jobs that give back to the community, and show trans woman in a positive light. If I'm not mistaken, I do rember Kelly mentioning her work with the HIV field, any more girls?? Sometimes we have to realize life is not all take and no give. Sometimes we should be thankful for our many blessings and give back.
I was ask buy an agency here in Chicago to be a trans representative in the community and help out in a few ways, and I accepted, its not about the money sometimes and I have come to realize that. I work part time, 15 paid hours a week and I volunteer an additiona 10-15 hours. The pay is not that of turning a client, but working with people and educating them on the trans issues, and making a difference in peoples lives and my community give me a feeling of satisfaction that no amount of money could buy. Does anybody else feel me on that?

I donate gifts/events to the starlight charity. which helps kids with terminal illnesses achieve some of their dreams....

currently i am working on a project that will enable 5 kids to goto mexico to visit the dolphin sancutary they have there..

i find this type of work extremely rewarding at a personal level.

I run a trans support group to help girls in transition get to where they want to be.
I am the co-founder of a trans-beauty pageant we hold every year, this upcoming year is going to be our third year.
I am a peer eductaor who is also certified to administer HIV testing, and the main goal is to get more trans woman tested, as many do not ever get tested. I know my friend Chanel works on the stopping the hate campaign, I would love to finally sit down and join that cause.

I decided to do so when I had to fight to be able to go to school as a girl.

I then went onto talking at pride weeks at colleges and high schools. I still do this.

I was the secretary of St. Pete PRIDE, I was also in charge of the volunteer coordinating and I hosted the entertainment along with Maya Douglas and Erica Andrews.

I have been in local newspapers and talkshows in St. Petersburg Florida and El Paso Illinois

I took part in a weekly transgender group at Westcare where I helped talk to the girls and give advice.

I also worked for Laser Lovers a transgendered owned and operated business we gave away free laser and hormones.

I now hope to give back with money to girls for transition that can't afford it.

I also write a weekly column on stoppingthehate not for publicity but for extreme care. As you see on there I just wrote about my activist work not my porn career.

Uniting together is the most important thing for us all to do!

I dont do it anymore though. Seems in most causes I had higher aspirations for most of them then they had for themselves. I only know where 3 of them are today. One went back to being a boy.
