Just had a long term friend and Libertarian actually start doing the research, and what he found was that rule of the majority if a fine fine thing but only with minority rights. What has changed his affiliation is the realization that minority rights don't exist without government intervention.

So while in a perfect world I believe a lot of what you say, I realized that decency is not something anyone does unless forced.

So you need government regulation of food, medicine, markets, discrimination... otherwise the people in the weaker position will always get weaker. American realizes this about once or twice a century and makes some laws...

Just saying, perfect world the government would stay out of everyone's life. Perfect world would also have a perfect NY strip steak growing ready to cook on the tree in my back yard.
