By the way, Obama is running for President, not Vice President.

I was very impressed with Palin's speech. She will be a formidable opponent against the Plagerizing-Lying Biden in the upcoming debates.
She really made it clear that Obama has ZERO accomplishments in office.

yeah, you're right... thats why the liberal political commentator George Stephanopoulos praised her speech and performance..also saying "one tough cookie"
and did you notice what Diane Sawyer said... she loved seeing little Piper on the stage looking at her baby brother...... Palin will resonate with more women that i think anyone expected.

More HA hypocrites at work....
Maybe you missed thr part when Huckabee's speach said WE NEED TO ABOLISH PORNOGRAPHY IN THIS COUNTRY
On a porn board and this is the party you support?
NICEEEEEEEEEEE
And for some laughs :
Seems like a lot of people out there don't like Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin.
Even John McCain's former adviser, Mike Murphy, thinks she's a joke!
Murphy, who's also a Time columnist and contributes to MSNBC, was on air with Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan speechwriter, Peggy Noonan.
And when anchor Chuck Todd cut to a clip, the three of them began talking not realizing that a technical glitch was allowing viewers nationwide to listen to their comments LIVE!
Todd was caught saying, "I also think the Palin pick is insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson, too."
While Murphy commented, "Still McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good."
And Noonan said, "It's over."
But this is when it gets good. Todd then questions, "Yeah, I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?
To which Noonan responds, "The most qualified? No! I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives."
HAHA!
To which Todd agreed with, "Yeah they went to a narrative," followed by Murphy's comment, "I totally agree."
And it gets funnier, Noonan adds, "Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it."
And Murphy responded with, "You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical."
"This is cynical, and as you called it, gimmicky," added Todd.

What kind of cave do you reside in? Without going into their respective stances and politics, both Biden AND Obama are good orators and debaters, as are most Democrats (Better read, traveled, experienced, empathic, etc). Palin, and particularly McCain, are going to be put through the meat grinder attempting to out debate either one.
Bring it on.

I did not see the speech, so I will concede to your opinion that it was a great speech. However, that does nothing to change the big picture of the failures of the Republican Party.
1. Lying to get the nation into war, losing lives, both American and Iraqi, with at least ½ trillion dollars cost, with more expected.
2. This has contributed to the weakening of the dollar.
3. Neglect of the economy contributed to a current housing crisis. This in turn reflects a downturn for a demand of consumer goods. In other words were in a recession.
The list could go on and on. McCain supported the war, and neglected supporting policies which strengthen the economy.
This is why the Republican strategy is to turn attention away from the real issues effecting everyday lives. In a moment of honesty, McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis, said, “This campaign is not about the issues..”. That is their essential strategy.
God did not answer evangelical prayers that Obama’s speech be rained out, but graciously sent it in time for the Republicans to excuse Dick Cheney from appearing. That helped the party avoid reminding people of the harm he has helped bring about. God is good.
Congratulations on your vp candidates performance, however.

My post is related to her speech, by putting it in context with larger issues facing our nation. And people on the board here are still free to post directly on the contents of her speech.
