This pic was in a mail by someone who lives in the town, next to where Palin was mayor. She was a former beauty queen. But loves hunting, including big game like bears. She has enough in her history to appeal to different segments. But she only has a bachelors degree. I just read that McCain has had for bouts with melanoma cancer. If she can still wear outfits like this, she could be the dominant one in meetings with foreign leaders.

I hope for the daughter's shake that she wasn't forced 1) to keep the kid, and 2) to get married because of her mom being picked for Mccain's VP.

If this hasn't played out as a shotgun wedding arrangement I'll be VERY surprised (assuming we'd ever know if it were coerced).

And no, I don't think it would be any better for her if it was all decided "out of fear" of what would happen vrs being explicitly told "what the consequences would be"

There were other options, even if the kid were to chose not to get an abortion. I feel even more sorry for the baby if this marriage was just a political arrangement, the stats that I have heard of in terms of young relationships with an unexpected pregnancy doesn't show the odds to be in their favor. I have to doubt this will be a "happy traditional family"
