iread this article too and found it quite interesting...i really think the early 80's oil bust was a fabrication much like the high spikes in prices today...the oil industry saw how pres carter had lowered demand a substantial amount on the consumption side(demand) and they got scared..with reagan/bush 1 they lowered the price to feed our addiction and buying themselves 30yrs worth of high demand that we cant get out of today!!!!
