brazilian hair relaxer

i know there arent too many brown girls on this site that post.
buuuut- do u know anything about the Keratin Brazilian Relaxer?

everything im reading says it makes the hair totally straight.
but if i leave the treatment in shorter, or wash my hair before the 4 day period afterwards- will it leave some curl in it?

i like having the option of wearing it curly or straight.

i'd just like to use less gel to keep it intact when curly, and less heat to keep it straight.

help please :?

also, what about the damage and the smell?
regular relaxers i know are horrible for the hair and i hate the way relaxed hair smells when it gets moist.
