Best LA hotel/motel for hosting

I am going to be in LA for work and want to extend my trip by a day or two. I am interested in hotels/motels that would be within walking distance to the nightclubs, and the girls. Mostly interested in accommodations that are escort friendly like where do the girls stay etc...

Well, I once stayed at a place near Sunset and La Brea and walked to Peanuts (In the rain I might add) one Friday night and it ...

Wait a minute. That was too damn far!

There really is no place for lodging close to Peanuts. :(

... The Vagabond Inn on Vine was the last place I stayed at. Real nice for $139.00 a night.
