Too funny - I'm in Vegas at the moment and about 9 pm all the lights on the strip south of the MGM went out for about 1 1/2 hours. Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, the Hotel, Luxor, etc. So weird seeing all those huge dark buildings - and thinking of the people inside.
Apparently a transformer blew - and the back up generators are considerably
inadequate.
Glad I'm not staying in one, they are going to have a lot of folks looking for comp rooms tonight I think.
Apparently the generators were adequate to keep the lights inside the casinos working - can't lose any $$.
