Jada, your avatar is in the members-only portion of your website. I suspect this is an oversight, but it's causing a prompt for username and password just to view the thread.

I just joined your site and I'm impressed. I have a question about the videos.

I like the way it's set up, but I would also like to be able to enjoy them without having to connect to the internet. Will they be able to download in the future?

A BBS is a Bulletin Board System: long before there was a World Wide Web, there were BBS's, which are, in effect, Internets unto themselves. A BBS can be dial-up (my first exploration of the Internet was via a dial-up BBS some 15 years ago, which gave me access to whatever was on that network plus email), Telnet, or Web-based. A forum like HA is basically a Web-based BBS (that is, we form our own community, though we're publically accessible, and can post messages, chat, exchange files, pm and do other things in our little niche of the Internet). Other kinds of BBS have largely disappeared (though they are still out there, and there are still active communities involved--it's almost like ham radio, lol) since the Web offers so much (especially graphics and filesharing) so easily.

What I think khun_diow is referring to is what I also posted about: your (previous) avatar being linked from the members-only section of your website, prompted a user login window when the thread was accessed. Thus, khun_diow wrote: "Are you really passing a script through a BBS to start the signup process?" meaning that your avatar was, effectively, a "script" (the username/password dialog box) run through a "BBS" (Hung Angels forum), prompting people to "signup" for your site. (Or he means something else entirely which eludes me, but I can't imagine what.) I think it's obvious that you simply didn't realize that your avatar was prompting a login request to your site, and you've corrected that with your new avatar.

Which, by the way, is lovely! Umm-umm. Very nice indeed.

Ecstatic hit it right on the head....It just seemed odd to me that a user/password window would pop open on a public board.

On subsequent re-visit it did not happen again. I wish jade the best of luck in her online endeavor and I hope she didn't think I was being 'snarky'.
