The reason we didn't have trouble with Japan (or Germany for that matter) after the war is called the Marshall Plan. The goal of war is always to settle a dispute or grievance of one kind or another. Killing the enemy is expensive is always a secondary goal in war. Wars are quite obviously poor substitutes for true problem solving. Wars only suppress disputes, they never ever settle them. Germany was trounced into submission after the Great War. Had something like the Marshall Plan been implemented then, the second world war would never have occurred. Had we aided in the rebuilding of Afghanistan after the Soviet invasion, there never would've been the Taliban. If you think nuking anybody in world is going to settle any problem, you're a complete and utter idiot as well as a moral midget.

Sorry mate, prevailing wind patterns in the Middle East (including Iraq and western Iran) are from the northeast. Lobbing a nuke there(an asinine proposition from an undereducated computer tough guy) would not send a radioactive cloud toward any of the three countries listed. The cloud would cover all the oil rich counties of the Middle East, and continue on to the Horn of Africa.
