Good question. I'm not married, but I was once. I got divorced so long ago I don't even think of it as 'being married'--I was 21 yrs old for fucks sake and had no idea about anything--I think of it as a long relationship (we were married for 3 yrs) that, well, kind of sucked. But I digress...

I think the cheating thing would be worse than the 'who with' thing, at least in the short term. But long term I think the 'biological gender' thing would leave the most lingering effect. Cheating can be worked through in a relationship since it can/may point to certain specific problems in a relationship that can then be addressed. But the bi-sexual/gay/pervert stigma is so pervasive in certain parts of the US (and in certain/specific cultural origins in the US, in my case, being latin, it would be devastating to BOTH families etc) that the outlying issues and questions they would raise would require a patience and level of understanding that would be hard to muster and sustain.
