I never met her. I just put some music behind her singing. I found a vid of Octavia St. Laurent singing an original song called “Forever”. She recorded it without any musical instruments, or acapella in musical terms. I harmonized the melody by putting chords and rhythm behind it. It was some work doing this, but it was fun and I learned some things. I did have to change some of her melody notes to match the chords. I also had to cut up the phrases so her vocal would be in time with the rhythm. Right click to download. It's less that 3 MB and it's jazzy.

I did this without permission at home. Just think of what people could accomplish if they co-operated with collaboration. If anyone here knows her, I would be interested to know what she thinks of the music, or how many curse words she knows.
Here are some screen shots from the video.

I liked your arrangement. It's kinda Brazilian jazz infused.
Her voice reminds me of a young Eartha Kitt for some reason.
I have downloaded it to my smartphone.

Cool Stuff Yoda.
I am loving the music more than her voice. I agree with Peggy. Similar to miss Kitt.
I like the latin jazz (if I am right) style of music.
Thanks

I liked it, and Octavia I will always love you. I wish we had married after the motocycle ride.

I decided to revisit the song today. I remembered that I had a new studio plugin called "Auto Tune" by Antares, that could help with the pitch issues. So I remixed the music and vocal. The track is not perfect, but it did help.

The MP3 link remains active until there are no downloads for 90 days.
So this is now a tribute to Octavia, in her own voice and words. "Forever".

I´d call this Brazilian Smooth Jazz. I heard something similar in Brazilian TS porn. (don´t get me wrong, yoda)
But it´s a nice tribute, yoda. She passed away recently.

I love what you did with this. It's a really smooth sound. And of course her singing was tight.
