I'll start-

I would say I have two:

1. To have so far led an authentic life- always marching to the beat of my own drummer

2. To have been able to transition and live full time as a woman

This is a tough question, and I really haven't done much in my thus far life, hell, I'm only twenty, so I guess up to this point it would be turning from my mischievous ways about 2 years ago and choosing not to become a career criminal like half of my family is, and about half of my former friends will be.

I pretty much accomplished the most important, for me it was soul searching . Shedding my outer layer to reveal who i really am as far as a person, and knowing that its perfectly fantastic to be who i am , and not give in to negative people nor ways. Conquering obstacles i thought would have weight me down , and take those obstacles and make them into a positive and enlightning learning experience Cherishing each and every moment and thing around. Last but certainly not least... facing my demons head on, now , so in the future they won't longer linger.

I haven't accomplished it yet, I'm still trying.

Three things stand out off of the top of my head:

1) Getting to know myself. I mean taking the time to really get to know myself – including the darker parts that most people won’t even acknowledge, let alone face. Why bother? One reason: you can’t take responsibility for yourself if you don’t truly know yourself. And success without personal responsibility is a rare thing.

2) Surviving and then escaping the circumstances of my youth.

3) My real estate investment company’s gentrification projects. My partners and I have completed numerous different types of projects over the years, but these are the ones that actually managed to make a real difference while making a profit. We could have made an even greater profit if we used the exploitive model employed by competitors, but we made a concious decision not to, and it was worth it.

My biggest accomplishment? A couple of things come to mind...

1. Breaking the cycle of abuse in my family and telling the family I was being molested by my grandfather.

2. Overcoming depression related to my abuse and becoming relativly well adjusted.

3. Forming a band and playing a short tour overseas. We played at the Black Horse Music Festival in Battle, England a couple of years ago.

I almost scored 4,000,000 on Tetris DS once while sitting on the toilet. After I put the game down, I emerged victorious off the bowl. Not realizing that both of my feet had completely fallen asleep, I ended up falling flat on my face. I had to lock myself in the bathroom for like 2 hours to get a score that high.

I called everyone I knew to brag and rub their noses in it. After that I stripped down naked and ran through my neighborhood screaming, "Who is your God now, fuckers!?! I am the King of Tetris!!!" I never saw so many window blinds close all at once in my life. The old people totally freaked out and must have overloaded the circuitboards by simultaneously pressing ther Life Alert buttons.

Heh. Regardless of everything else going on here, Dino's "Who is your God now, fuckers" line was funny as hell. I'm just saying, that was a good one.

Over and out.

1. Being able to express and be myself (a Tgirl) without care of being judged for the choices I made in life.

2. Helping my mom send siblings to school cos I believe that their education is of utmost importance than spending money on myself for surgeries I can still do without.

3. Caring for the unfortunate and sick people because let's face it not a lot of people have the patience and compassion for it!

;)

Well, it was Cardinal Points. We broke up a little while ago, the guitarist moved to Germany and I moved to DC. I'm trying to start something new. http://www.myspace.com/davidnicholas23 . This link has some song samples.

The guitarist has pictures on his site
http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=CPoints&nextdate=8%2f11%2f2002+22%3a29%3a46.000&direction=n

or do a search for CPoints Xanga and his page comes up.

I'm the dork with the drum, the glasses and singing.

There are many things Ive done that I feel are accomplishments or things I am proud of. The major one would be my transition. I was a teenager when I started hormones in the 90's and the resources weren't like they are today, there was no Internet. I was young, busted looking, broke, had no resources, no family backing and a coke head to top it off. I was a complete mess.

Today I have transitioned successfully, been to school, have a good job (other then escorting), own my own home, had new cars, nice things and traveled the world. Other then material things, I am close with my family, have meaningful relationships and I am more then content with myself.

I persevered and overcame the obstacles. All that I have been through good and bad I wouldn't change a thing.

OK I'll bitch :)

'No one said your lives were easy'.

You just did.

'technically the easy way out'.

Since the men on this board do not have GID or identify as transsexual, we taking the easy way out of what exactly?

disclaimer: not flaming you, but it seems pointless trying to compare individual experience.

After being a lousy student in high school (very ADHD), I worked my way through college (had to go to a community college first) and then graduated from the University of Virginia. My second achievement was receiving my gold dolphins signifying my qualification in submarines.

Maybe the most remarkable accomplishment is coming to understand that everyone is transitioning all the time, just in different ways. If we didn’t make the constant adjustments required to navigate through life, we’d wouldn’t have made it this far.

Here’s a salute to everyone’s accomplishments, and many more to come.

too very true!

mine would have to be:
-military (gulf war vet)
-transitioning
-finishing art school
-quitting escorting
-escaping an abusive relationship

I'm hoping to be able to become brave again soon, as regretably I seem to have lost my bravery somewhere along my lifepath. I'm afraid and ashamed to admit to being transsexual, and so I havent pursued my art career- (i'm stuck in telemarketing *bleck!*) .....but that'll be my next accomplishment - I wanna do cartoons....wish me luck!

...ya, motorcycles and t'girls...not sure if that's the accomplishments we're celebrating, but that's my deal...
