we'll see how this plays out, but anyone that thinks
that the gov't got out of the cocaine trafficking biz
after oliver north and crew were "caught" must have
no idea how things work.

Our government does not traffic in cocaine. It's amazing how delusional the left is. It's just like what Dr. Michael Savage says, "Liberalism is a mental disorder."

Our government does not. But there are people that have day jobs in our government who do. There's too many people with high clearances, & that gives them a blank check to do whatever they want with no questions asked. Drugs are more lucrative than selling secrets & nobody seems to care.

I think Reagan was probably out of the loop when it came to the drug deal. He was a straight up ideologue & not too keen on details. The drug deal was about gathering enough cash to buy up the surplus arms that were sold to the contras for the $100 million that Congress appropriated. For all the cold war bullshit rhetoric & domino theories about Central America, it was really about the money. Secord & Singlaub et al pocketed over $60 million off the contra arms deal alone, & they walked away as if nothing had happened. So did everybody else. There's no telling how much was raked in by flooding the streets with crack. They bankrolled both the Crips & the Bloods, then instigated the war between them, which was the biggest bloodbath in this country since the Civil War.

That was the worst case of corruption ever exposed in the history of the US, & they all got away with it. North was the designated patsy. The only other person in the government ever prosecuted in that mess was Admiral Poindexter, & he's back in some official capacity with the Bush administration. Fucking incredible!

Ok, I mis-spoke originally, instead of government
I should have written "some people working for the
government, using government equipment and
resources...."

Financing a regime change in a targeted country is very expensive. Money has to be raised to get a lot of people out on the streets to raise a ruckus. And of course weapons have to purchased and secretly transported into the selected country. Naturally since this activity is illegal congress cannot approriate the funds in the usual manner hence the need to revert to clandestine smuggling.

Thanks for this post. A lot more people would do well to know this stuff.

"Our government does not traffic in cocaine. "

Now that's pretty funny. As much as I loathe left wing nutters...you really need to research money laundering / cocaine smuggling, ok?

Google Citigroup money laundering, check out who the key players were. US Senators and one of the western hemisphere's biggest drug dealers....former President of Mexico Vincente' Fox bro........LOL

News flash here you right wing nutter....

Taliban successfully shut down nearly all Poppy cultivation (Heroin) in Trashcanistan after they took over there. Osama knew if he crushed drug exports from Trashcanistan he would make Wallstreet fold like a house of cards....

Soooooooooooooo We invade Trashcanistan.....we've been there a few years now... and low and behold.... Poppy cultivation is at an all time hi!
EVEN AFTER the US (my and your taxpayer monies) have spend 660 million on the fake War On Drugs. Now... our US troops are in place to support the growing of Poppy once again...we can all breath easier knowing how our tax dollars are being spent on the WOD.

Our government is 100% complicit. If you get your paycheck from Fedgov.... then you work for the Gov. Fedgov just subcontracts all the really nasty stuff out to private industry.

Our Government is in the drug business, both legal and illegal.
