Do you think Houston Alexander has a chance a at title if he works on his ground game. I think he can ground and pound ok but hes a boxer/street fighter at best as seen in his most recent loss. he cant wrestle that well right now and some of those faster judo/ wrestlers might make quick work of him if he can get to the late rounds on the mat

Yes i think he has a chance but like you said he last fight prove his one weakness the ground game and when he goes up in the ranks the guys tend to be good overall.So if he improves his ground game alot he has a chance for a title,he already has the punching power ask keith jardine.

Lets face it, at his age he has no chance of getting a good enough ground game to compete with anyone who has half decent Jiu-Jitsu skills in that position!

His biggest mistake in his last fight was not rushing out and throwing bombs, he is so dangerous when he does that, it is clearly a tactic he shoud employ in every fight.

When you have the sheer brute power and furiosity he has but no ground game, use it and try your best to finish the fight quickly so you don't even have to put yourself in that which is your weakest position, on the floor grappling with a much more skilled opponent!

I'll go along with that, I have never seen Machida fight so I can't be sure about that match up, but I certainly wouldn't bet my av against your pick on that one, I've seen the devastating results of doing that!

I do think the Hughes, Pierre fight will be allot different to the last one, one thing is for sure, Matt Hughes is not going to try and trade with him on his feet this time.

as for the fight, i want wandy to win, i hope wandy will win, but i just don't think he can do it. the main reason why is because he's no longer with chute boxe. he trains out of couture's gym so he has good training partners but i think he's got some new brazilian guys cornering him. ufc is doing an all access show featuring him on thursday so that should give a better idea of how he'll do.

machida is a tactical fighter. so much so that sometimes he can be pretty boring to watch. his most notable win is probably over rich franklin.

I don't think him not training with chute boxe is going to effect him or his style in anyway.
